Casa de Sara's staff doctor, Dr. Edwin Escalante teaches monthly health education classes to Neuva Esperanza, a local impoverished high school in Santa Cruz. Through families study topics such as disease prevention, personal hygiene, drug and alcohol prevention, sexual health education, prenatal care, domestic violence education and basic biology. An age appropriate program is also provided to the students in our escuelita. Through this very important program, students and their families have been provided an educational opportunity that previously did not exist. This program has been requested by many other schools and communities and with your continued support we hope to expand and meet their needs.
