On August 6, 2006 the children of Casa de Sara celebrated the anniversary of the Bolivian Independance Day. Bolivia (named for explorer Simon Bolivar) was originally a Spanish colony but gained independance from Spain in 1825. The children are shown here marching in a celebratory street parade. The bottom photo shows traditional costumes.
