"The
poor do not need our sympathy and our pity. The poor need
our love and compassion. They give us much more than we give
them."

s
part of a unique cultural exchange, The School of Creative Learning
in Knoxville, TN held an art sale to raise money for Casa de Sara.
The children in the school (ages 3-5) created beautiful works of art
for the sale and raised $943.00. The children will vote on how to
spend the money to help the children in Bolivia. In addition to the
fundraiser, the children at the School of Creative Learning studied
Bolivia, made a video of themselves to send to the kids in the Escuelita
in Bolivia, and drew pictures for their new Bolivian friends. In exchange,
the Bolivian children also made a video, sent pictures, and learned
all about Tennessee and the USA! |

a special influence on the students and staff (known as the Promocion)
during their school year. The Casa de Sara Escuelita in Santa Cruz

This high honor is bestowed at the discretion of the staff in Bolivia. We

A baby who
is extremely ill in Clinica La Maternidad Perci Bolan (a local
government hospital in Santa Cruz, Bolivia that is in great need)
receives life saving care due to donations from Casa de Sara.
Although the hospital had the tiny bed and partially working monitors,
they had none of the cables and tubes needed to make everything
work together. All of the tubing hooked to the machine and the
baby were provided by Casa de Sara. A small donation...but one
that saved a life.
