deficiencies. But, this years class is particularly challenging
because there are a few children who have suffered severe abuses
leaving them with special emotional needs. Three of our new students
cannot even speak. While there is no defi nitive diagnosis at this
time, we are hopeful that further examinations with specialists
will shed some light on their condition.
With the added
problems associated with Bolivias ongoing political unrest
and economic crisis, we are in for a challenging year. At Casa de
Sara, however, we only know how to move in one direction
forward.
In spite of our challenges, we have a great school year planned,
and our kids are excited to learn and enjoy! In our next newsletter,
I will detail many of the improvements at the school and some new
activities we have planned for our kids.
As always, thank
you for continuing to support us! In the midst of our own economic
downturn, we realize that its diffi cult to fi nd extra dollars
to donate to others in need, but your generosity is most needed,
appreciated, and never forgotten! Thank you for always seeing us
though the tough times! Without you, we simply could not exist.
We are blessed to have you as our supporters and we thank you for
making Casa de Sara possible!
